What to Expect

You will be asked to fill out a short Patient Information form as required by the State of Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. We will discuss what you want to work on and how long we will work. We will decide if you will begin the session face up or face down on the massage table. If you have not had a massage before, we will discuss how to arrange yourself on the massage table (face in the hole, just like on TV or face up, knees over the cushion, covered by the sheet). I will leave the room and wait in the hall while you get situated. We can work with your clothes on or off. I ask that you remove shoes, belt and necklaces. You say “OK” when you are ready to begin, loud enough that I can hear you through the door.

The massage table is heated, and the temperature can easily be adjusted, and you must be covered during the massage. We can add blankets and pillows as necessary for you to be comfortable. You may choose to talk during the massage, not talk much or not talk at all. You may ask questions any time. You may change position anytime. I may ask you to move an arm or a leg for better treatment access. You may fall asleep. You may snore. I will wake you when the massage is complete. This is going to be a good day!
